Robert Waters Plays Bartók

  • Libby Gardner Concert Hall 1375 Presidents' Circle Salt Lake City, UT, 84112 United States (map)

The NOVA season kicks off with a bang when Robert Waters and Jason Hardink take on the musical acrobatics of Bartók's First Violin Sonata.

Blending the shimmering harmonies of Debussy with dancing melodies and percussive piano antics inspired by Hungarian folk music, this piece is a virtuoso showcase!

This concert also includes Haydn's joyful "Hungarian" Trio, performed by Anne Francis Bayless, William Hagen, and Cahill Smith, and an all-star quintet of Utah Symphony winds play Ligeti's playful Six Bagatelles.
